A quest to make sense of it all. Or a sense to make a quest of it all.

Finally got stuff moved into the new duplex. I'm so incredibly happy to know that tomorrow night, I will be sleeping in my own place again.

I've worked 12 hour shifts the past two days, had no time to go to the gym, no time to tan, no time to eat anything remotely healthy. However, I'm only working 35 hours next week (so far...), so I should have plenty of time to catch up.

Tomorow I'm gonna actually start looking at dates/prices for a trip Brandon and I (and perhaps Tamara) are going to take in a few months. We've decided on Virginia, and that Brandon has to wear white linen capri pants and a sunhat at the beach, but that's about as far as we've gotten.

So we did decide Virginia? Good. I wasn't really digging the D.C. idea. Then again, I'm not really digging the we're-not-flying-there idea, either. I vote AIRPLANE!!!

I vote you pay for tickets :D

I suppose we could fly, but that would probably deplete my and Brandon's funds severly enough to put us in $35/per night hotel rooms. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Or even severely.

DAMMIT! What if we book now and get great rates?

Then I guess it's time to look at those prices.

Didn't you used to fly everywhere for your job in NY? How do we get started here? Every flight I've ever had has been arranged by my Californian relatives.

Might I make a travel suggestion?

Hell, and another: If you fly out of Nashville via Southwest (I'm not sure if they go to Virginia, though), you can get cheapo internet "fun fares" -- $99 each way.

You know something, I don't need to be paying to fly to Virginia, paying to fly to Buffalo, etc. I'm trying to save money to MOVE to Buffalo! And I don't do road trips, so maybe you two kids should go on without me.

Hey, Dialy, any particular reason you called me twice last night, once around 1 AM?

Because after I have a few sips, I forget that I'm the only person I know whose job does not require going to bed at a decent hour.

My apologies.

Tee hee! Figured as much. Why don't you leave drunken messages? Those are priceless! That's the point of drunk-dialing, is it not? To commemorate those hilarious thoughts that seem so urgent through the haze of alcohol and seem so hysterically funny later?

I very foggily remember texting you to call back, that it was important. For the life of me, I can't recall what was so important. Probably something about the trip. And I probably executed the sending incorrectly.

What should have tipped me off that it was way too late was the fact that I had just gotten off the phone with Jessica, who works late and stays up late. She was going to bed.

Where are you? What's going on?

No internet yet at my new house. Sometime next week, maybe.
